Almost There

The fear of finishing. There is such a thing. You don’t know if it’s good enough, you fear rejection, you fear criticism. It’s easy to consume yourself with what hasn’t even happened yet. These thoughts haunt your confidence and, sometimes, your ability to finish. What we need to realize is that if we don’t finish, we will never know. Ask yourself, “what’s the absolute worst that can happen?” Think about it; it’s not as bad as you initially thought. Finishing allows you to move on to other projects as opposed to stalling. Expect criticism, if not from others, from yourself and learn from it. You are, instead, refining your skills. The next time you’re almost there, finish it.
