Feeling Like A Prickly Cactus

The shelter in place is taking a toll on people, as days pass it feels longer and longer and there may be a surge of emotions due to frustration. This post is actually inspired from someone who has been doing amazing distance learning sessions with the kids. A person who has the sweetest smile as she entertains and teaches the consolidated classes, making sure the kids are always well engaged and learning. She who understands how important her appearance, interaction and replies to the kids could affect their whole mental state with this lockdown and school. What an amazing person, someone who really owns the crown as a dedicated teacher.

Though she may have the brightest facade, there’s no denying that it takes a toll on her. Come on, distance learning is tough. It’s very tiring and tedious, exhausting to an extent. At some point she was feeling like a prickly cactus. Imagine being a parent for 20-40 kids and making sure you are always in control of ten situation, having a classroom setting is different from hosting an online session. The preparations before the lesson, the lesson itself and all the in between. There’s no break.

This post doesn’t particularly thanks only one person, it goes to all dedicated staff and educators who are trying their best to make learning possible during this lockdown. Much respect and admiration from all the parents who see the love and devotion you give the kids. Thank you!
