A beautiful city which I never ever get tired of. I was born and raised in San Francisco and although I don’t live there now… every time I get a chance to visit, I get glimpses of my childhood. Back then my father worked nights and my mother worked during the day. So before I was old enough to attend school, my father was in charge of taking care of me. He would feed me breakfast, pack a backpack with daily necessities, buckle me up on a baby seat mounted on the rear of his bike and we’d tour the city – exploring whatever came our way!
“San Francisco in 4K” by Patrick Lawler captures many favorite spots.
Now that I have kids of my own, my wife and I try to share a piece of it’s magic to them several times a year. Doing this on a shoestring budget can be difficult to the unfamiliar, costly to those living there, and intimidating for those deciding if they want to move there. Fortunately, there’s an awesome site called FRUGALinSF which is a great place to start planning, searching and learning from a San Francisco local about these hidden gems and more!
